Teitessa 20 Year Old Japanese Whisky is a long-aged Japanese whisky bottled for export at a time when twenty-year age statements from Japan's major houses have all but vanished from shelves. It is matured twenty years in oak and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The nose is honeyed sweetness, mellow oak and a whisper of Japanese florals with dried fruit and a hint of spice. The palate blends honey and delicate vanilla with the depth of well-aged oak, unfolding in elegant layers, and the finish is enduring and contemplative with subtle spice and oak. It is a whisky to sip neat and slowly. This bottle offers a real twenty-year Japanese whisky at a fraction of big-house prices, and a handsome gift.
